We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Material Scientist to join our team for a minimum of 6 months. As an R&D Material Scientist, you will be responsible for assisting senior material experts with ongoing research, development, and testing of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the selection of optimal materials in alignment with project needs and specifications
* Test, investigate, and develop new materials and material combinations that enhance product performance
* Assemble components and evaluate mechanical properties in our laboratory
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions and problem-solving
* Write technical documentation required to qualify material properties
* Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental data and results
* Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and tools
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is an asset
* Prior experience in surface treatment, adhesives, bonding, composites, or electronic industries is beneficial
* Critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Previous experience in physical testing, programming, and data analysis
* Understanding of basic material properties, chemistry, and physics principles and laboratory techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
