Job Title: Project Performance Group Director
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 depending on qualifications
Location: Atlanta, GA; Ypsilanti, MI or Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage a team to support the client services team with oversight of multi-year client contracts. The PPG Director role focuses on contract tracking, project monitoring, and invoice alignment—ensuring that all deliverables, timelines, and billing metrics are accurately documented and followed throughout the contract lifecycle. The Project Performance Group is accountable to support the health of projects, including: managing approval processes for contract review/execution, organizing and managing contract documentation, coordinating with the VantagePoint project set-up team for project initiation & close out, ensuring project managers maintain timely updates to future work plans and analyzing project financial data to monitor project performance from a profitability standpoint.
The Project Performance Group Director will work closely with Project Managers, Project Billers, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Subconsultants and Vendors.
Requirements
Essential Function(s) of the Position:
* Management of the processes and procedures related to the review approval and execution of contracts, rate submittals, task orders and other project related contracting documents.
* Creation and management of a centralized contract tracking system and ensure all documentation is up to date. Ensure all contracting documents related to projects are filed and records maintained in an organized manner.
* Managing coordination with the VantagePoint Project Set-up Team to ensure all relevant information is provided and the accounting team has the pertinent information.
* Assist Division Leads and COO in managing the work planning process, ensuring that Project Managers maintain future work plans to reflect the latest thinking.
* Monitor future staff utilization – Assists Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in understanding work future workforce needs resulting from the estimated work plans and potential future work.
* Review client contracts to extract, document and monitor key terms; including start/end dates, rate increase dates, insurance renewals, deliverables, billing milestones, and performance metrics.
* Track project progress against contractual obligations and timelines.
* Coordinate with project managers and finance teams to track billing against contract terms (e.g., percent complete, milestone-based billing).
* Assist with internal audits and compliance checks related to contract execution.
Education And Experience
* A four-year college degree is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, consulting engineering industry or a related field is a plus.
* 10+ years of experience in contract administration, project coordination, or a similar role.
* Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
* Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) or project management software desired; knowledge of VantagePoint is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and contract/project tracking tools.
* Ability to interpret contract language and translate it into actionable tracking items.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to self-motivate.
* Excellent computer skills; thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to analyze and interpret project-level financial data.
* Attention to detail with respect to quality standards.
* Ability to interact in group settings, using judgement and discretion, to always represent the firm in the desired manner.
