Role/Department: Our Fund Accounting department is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join a 14-person team in Basel. This dedicated team supports alternative products (primarily Private Equity, Infrastructure and Real Estate) but also Hedge Funds and Private Debt products. The team and product range have grown in recent years, and we are expanding to support institutional clients including pension funds, banks, and investment foundations.
Responsibilities
* NAV calculation and administration of alternative products (Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Debt, Hedge Funds)
* Accounting and processing of year-end closings and distributions
* Execution and monitoring of investments and related payments
* Reporting and administration services for Limited Partners
* Responding to client requests and maintaining regular contact with Asset Manager and other internal and external parties
* Client-specific reporting
* Set up of new products and implementation of new processes and workflows
* Audit liaison
Qualifications
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong numeric flair
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in German is required
* Ability to work effectively in a team and as an individual contributor, with initiative and flexibility to meet client expectations
* Ability to work under multiple competing deadlines
* Interest in fund administration and middle-office activities
* Very good knowledge of MS Office and ability to quickly learn new IT applications
* Accurate work style with good attention to detail
