Event-Driven System Engineer – Geneva (On-site | 12-month contract, extending)

A leading bank in Geneva is scaling up its real-time data infrastructure to support AI workloads, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). They're looking for an engineer who knows how to build and run high-throughput streaming systems that don't buckle under pressure.
What you'll do:
* Design and build large-scale streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and Beam
* Handle real-time data transformation and processing
* Integrate streams with the bank's lakehouse architecture
* Monitor and fine-tune pipeline performance
* Work closely with AI teams to support real-time RAG use cases
What you bring:
* 5+ years in streaming/data architecture
* Deep hands-on with Kafka, Flink, and event-driven systems
* Strong programming in Java, Python, or Scala
* Understanding of event-driven design
* Experience with cloud-based streaming tools
