Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced employment lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) to join our Practical Law team at Thomson Reuters. The Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Employment Law will research, write, and maintain practical legal content and support the development of AI‑powered legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
* Review and edit content written by colleagues or external contributors.
* Keep up to date with legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
* Support the development of customer‑focused Thomson Reuters AI‑powered legal solutions.
* Support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
* Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the legal market, customers, and emerging needs.
* Interact with customers, consultation boards, and contributors; collaborate with business functions.
* Attend training events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
* Help develop Practical Law Germany and the broader Practical Law platform.
* Assist the wider Thomson Reuters team in product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
* German qualified lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
* Substantial experience of German employment law.
* Excellent writing and communication skills in English; ability to write in plain English.
* Collaborative mindset, ability to work independently and in teams.
* Strong technical skills and proficiency in generative AI tools.
* Experience using AI tools in legal work.
* Excellent knowledge of online research databases.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity and in a matrixed environment; proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
Desirable Qualifications
* Proficient translation skills (German to English and vice versa).
