Main Responsibilities:
As a Radio Planning and Optimization Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Radio Network Planning and Optimization: Perform in-depth radio network planning and optimization activities within a Radio Access Network (RAN) project.
2. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve radio network issues, offering effective solutions to improve network performance.
3. Drive Test Analysis: Analyze abnormal events from drive tests (e.g., call drops, call setup failures, low MOS for voice, data failures, and low throughput) and recommend optimization strategies.
4. Feature Trials and Rollouts: Conduct feature trials, perform technical analysis, and fine-tune for successful feature rollouts.
5. Optimization Proposals: Analyze TOP worst-performing cells, propose optimization strategies, and implement improvements at the network, cluster, and cell levels to enhance KPIs.
6. Network Performance Checks: Regularly perform network performance checks, including alarms, parameters, and other critical performance metrics.
Requirements:
7. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in radio planning and optimization.
8. Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of LTE and NR technologies; experience with Umlaut Benchmark-based drive test log analysis is highly preferred.
9. Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive, target-oriented, and self-driven with the ability to take the lead and be accountable for specific areas of the project.
10. Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and articulate clear solutions to customers.
11. Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
12. Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in European Huawei Benchmark optimization projects (Germany, Austria, Netherlands) is preferred.
Previous experience in Switzerland is an added advantage.
Knowledge of French language is a plus.
