Position: Director of Digital Product for Commercial Platforms
This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for the vision, strategy, and roadmap of platforms and services supporting our commercial capabilities, including digital and physical channels. You will lead a team of Product Managers overseeing e-commerce, retail platforms, merchandising, and content tooling, shaping the future of On’s customer experience and enabling scalable, seamless journeys.
Your Responsibilities Define Platform Vision & Strategy: Develop and communicate a compelling long-term strategy for our commercial platforms that ensures scalability, reliability, and flexibility.
Lead and Mentor Teams: Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on strategic objectives and innovative solutions.
Drive Roadmap & Execution: Guide the development and prioritization of product roadmaps, collaborating with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
Champion User & Developer Insights: Deepen understanding of user needs, including end consumers and internal teams, to inform platform development.
Align Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with senior leaders across departments to align platform strategies with broader commercial goals, managing dependencies effectively.
Foster Innovation: Promote experimentation and continuous improvement, exploring new architectural patterns and API-first approaches.
Leverage Data: Use data to track platform health, adoption metrics, and KPIs, guiding investments and priorities.
Stay Industry-Forward: Keep abreast of trends like composable commerce, AI/ML, and digital platform tech to identify opportunities for innovation.
Your Profile 12+ years in technology product management, with leadership experience in foundational platforms, services, and APIs.
Extensive knowledge of e-commerce, retail systems, CDPs, and content management, especially with headless or composable architecture.
Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate with engineering leaders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business challenges into platform strategies.
Inspirational leader skilled in mentoring high-performing teams.
Excellent communicator adept at engaging stakeholders across levels.
Customer-centric and data-driven, with experience in agile methodologies.
