Our Infrastructure Solutions team is looking for a Solution Architect – Linux & Kubernetes (On-Premises) .
In the Infrastructure Solutions department, we support our customers in selecting, architecting and operating the various software that will enable them to master the hosting part of their services and applications, on-premise or in the cloud.
Our engineers, experienced and accustomed to the constraints of production, know how to build and above all maintain these architectures. We are convinced that quality BUILD can only be achieved through RUN experience.
Your day as a Solution Architect – Linux & Kubernetes(On-Premises) A few words from Mathieu, your future manager:
“As a Linux & Kubernetes Solution Architect within the Infrastructure Solutions department, you will hold a strategic position designing on-premises architectures and directly influencing our clients' technological choices. We are not just looking for a field expert with deep mastery of system engineering, but also someone motivated to evolve towards consulting and pre‑sales, capable of translating business needs into realistic technical solutions while maintaining strong technical credibility.”
Your main tasks will be as follows:
You actively participate in pre-sales phases, from qualifying needs during client meetings to technical writing and costing for tender responses (RFPs).
You ensure global technical consistency, guaranteeing that the solution designed in the commercial phase is realistic, robust, and technically deliverable by the technical teams.
You play a senior expert role in designing on-premises Linux and Kubernetes architectures, defining key structural choices (OS, containerization, storage, network) and carrying out POCs (Proofs of Concept) to validate feasibility.
You act as a trusted advisor to clients: you challenge their requests, simplify complex concepts, and guide decisions towards sustainable and operable solutions.
You are in regular contact with sales teams to estimate workloads, infrastructure costs, and identify technical risks upstream of projects.
You produce architecture deliverables (technical architecture documents, diagrams) and define the security and observability standards to be adhered to.
You ensure the transition to the delivery teams by passing on the context and technical choices, and you remain available as expert support for complex issues.
You are proactive regarding technology watch and propose innovative ideas to evolve our clients' infrastructures towards greater automation and resilience.

Your profile Your essential skills to succeed in this role You hold an EPF/HES (ETH/FH) engineering degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
You have over 5 years of IT experience, with significant technical expertise in critical Linux environments (RHEL, Debian, SUSE) and on-premises Kubernetes.
You possess excellent mastery of infrastructure fundamentals (Networking, Virtualization, Storage), allowing you to bridge the gap between business needs and technical architectures.
You master French and are comfortable in English.
You are an excellent communicator with great teaching skills, able to simplify complex concepts and defend your technical choices in front of clients.
You have a strong appetite for consulting and pre-sales, with a will to drive the technical vision during scoping phases and tender responses.
You are rigorous and automation-oriented (Puppet, Ansible, CI/CD), with a constant concern for security and system observability.
You demonstrate sound technical judgment (arbitration) to propose realistic solutions that bring value to the client while respecting feasibility constraints.
You enjoy working in a multicultural team. You have a collaborative spirit, show empathy, and care about the team's well‑being.
You are based in Switzerland and possess a valid Swiss work permit.

You are Red Hat certified (RHEL and/or OpenShift).
You have Cloud knowledge.
You possess excellent German language skills (written and spoken) -C1 level.

Location: Switzerland - Bussigny, Olten or Zurich with the possibility of working from home part of the time.
