Global Supplier Quality Engineer – PTU

Reporting to: Global Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager.
Overview
Join ABB to lead the supplier qualification and development processes for the PTU business (Power Train Unit) and roll‑out the Global Quality Management System for the Power Protection business in EL‑Smart Power. This role will be part of the global quality strategy and supports our goal to be a sustainable industry leader.
Responsibilities
* Define the PTU business model together with Sales, Service and Project Execution.
* Lead supplier qualification process for PTU suppliers, driving approval of supplier parts, materials and project subcontractor services.
* Address supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non‑compliant products or project services in a timely manner.
* Work with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claim cases when necessary.
* Lead and actively participate in the resolution of customer cases, following robust root‑cause analysis and corrective actions implementation (supplier + customers).
* Own the Global Quality Management System for the entire Power Protection business (Front end, Back end, Agile Team, Functions).
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality.
* ISO 9001 Certified Auditor.
* Knowledge in quality management and improvement tools.
* Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20 %.
