Overview
We are inviting applications for an Assistant Professorship (non-tenure track) in the field of Organizational Behavior. The triple accredited university offers a stimulating and well-equipped research environment with a large network ranging from start-ups to large firms to engage in field studies.
We seek an early-career scholar with a clear research focus at the intersection of leadership, engagement, and new work. The thematic focus is on core topics of organizational behavior in the context of today's complex, uncertain, and socially diverse world of work. We are looking for a colleague who complements our areas of expertise and methodological competences.
Responsibilities
* Develop and conduct applied, innovative research on leadership, engagement, and new work.
* Publish in leading international journals, influential books, or top‑tier conferences; demonstrate strong potential for high‑quality publications.
* Teach at all levels (Bachelor, Master, and ideally Executive Education) in German and English, translating scientific insights into impactful learning experiences.
* Acquire third‑party funding (e.g., SNF, Innosuisse, industry cooperation) – a strong advantage.
* Contribute to the dynamic team at the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management (IFPM‑HSG).
* Convey scientific knowledge to students and maintain a significant impact on theory and practice; if lacking German, acquire passive knowledge within two years.
Qualifications
* Completed (or close to completing) a doctoral degree (PhD) in Management, leadership, or a closely related discipline.
* Strong potential for publishing in FT 50, VHB A+/A journals or comparable venues.
* Experience with quantitative, qualitative, and/or design‑oriented research, ideally including experimental work (lab, field, online).
* Teaching experience at university level, preferably including Executive Education.
* Knowledge of German is desirable; non‑German speakers expected to learn passive German within two years.
