The Senior Audit Director, Finance, Asset Management role offers a unique opportunity to lead a global team of auditors and drive transformative change in the finance and asset management sector. As a seasoned audit professional, you will be responsible for overseeing all relevant audit work related to Swiss Re's activities in finance, asset management, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure effective risk assessment and audit coverage in areas such as financial reporting, IFRS, and capital markets.
2. Provide inspirational leadership to a global team of auditors, promoting collaboration and alignment across organizational structures.
3. Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk perspectives are balanced with business views.
4. Drive innovation and problem-solving through critical thinking and creative solutions.
5. Develop high-participation strategies, empower people and teams, and deliver value-adding results in time.
6. Solicit broad feedback and take personal accountability for decisions, always acting in the best interest of the company.
7. Communicate effectively, influencing partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
Requirements:
1. 15+ years of experience in audit or other relevant roles, ideally within the insurance/reinsurance industry at a senior level.
2. CPA, CA, CIA, or other relevant professional certification.
3. Leadership experience in a global, matrix-driven organization.
4. Strong understanding of risk, control, governance, and technical backgrounds in areas such as financial instruments, investment products, and capital markets.
5. Excellent communication skills, ability to engage, influence, inspire, and co-create a shared vision.
