To strengthen our team in Europe, we are looking for skilled AI / ML Engineers to drive the development of biomedical AI algorithms. This role involves researching, designing, implementing, and delivering advanced prediction models across various biomedical tasks, utilizing high-performance computing facilities and extensive biomedical data sources available at GSK.

You will :
1. Design and implement AI / ML solutions throughout the entire model development lifecycle.
2. Research and develop advanced machine learning models, including deep learning, to optimize performance on biomedical prediction tasks.
3. Deliver robust, tested, and efficient code in an agile setting.
4. Collaborate with experts in biology, medicine, and experimentation to ensure optimal data collection for training biomedical models.
Basic Qualifications :
We seek professionals with these essential skills :
* Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in a quantitative or engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering) or equivalent work experience in AI / ML solutions.
* Experience with major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
* Knowledge of current machine learning literature and modeling approaches.
* Proven experience in developing and deploying robust software solutions, especially in Python.
* Understanding of software engineering and ML best practices, including version control, CI/CD, containerization, and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications :
If you possess the following, it would be advantageous :
* Background or interest in biology or medicine (not mandatory).
* Fluency in English; knowledge of German is not required.
* Experience in designing, developing, and deploying commercial AI / ML software.
* Contributions to open-source projects.
* Publications in AI / ML (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI) or related fields.
* Knowledge or interest in disease biology, molecular biology, or medicine.
* Experience working with biomedical data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, electronic health records, clinical images).
