Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Delivery

The Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Delivery is responsible for shaping, driving, and executing a global Total Rewards strategy for an international employee population. This role requires deep expertise in compensation and benefits, strong business acumen, and the ability to consult and influence senior leaders. The position partners closely with HR leadership teams and business stakeholders to ensure that Total Rewards programs are competitive, compliant, transparent, and aligned with organizational goals. The role also includes managing and developing a small team and serving as a key member of the HR Leadership Team.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead the development and execution of the global Total Rewards agenda for a multi-country workforce.
* Serve as the primary advisor to HR leaders and business stakeholders on compensation and benefits strategy.
* Translate market trends into actionable reward policies and frameworks.
* Provide expert guidance on compensation challenges, applying global governance frameworks.
* Ensure reward practices are aligned with business needs while honoring global standards.
* Educate leaders and HR teams to strengthen pay‑for‑performance culture.
* Act as the subject‑matter expert for Pay Transparency initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to regional compensation laws and regulatory requirements.
* Support compensation integrations during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational transitions.
* Lead annual global benchmarking activities, salary range design, and grading processes.
* Recommend reward solutions for attraction, motivation, and retention of talent.
* Oversee cycle‑related processes (merit, bonus, market reviews).
* Create communication tools, training materials, and guidelines for Total Rewards programs.
* Partner with HRBPs, HR operations, and business leaders to ensure smooth delivery of reward processes.
* Oversee documentation, policies, and program interpretation.
* Work across HR and business functions to align reward strategy with organizational goals.
* Build strong global networks and relationships to support consistent Total Rewards delivery.
* Lead, coach, and develop two direct reports.


Must‑Have Qualifications & Experience


Experience

* 15+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, HR Delivery, or related fields.
* Experience in multinational environments and/or large consulting firms.
* Proven leadership experience with global reward programs, benchmarking, and policy design.
* Strong project management skills; able to run complex, cross‑functional initiatives independently.
* Experience navigating matrix organizations and culturally diverse environments.
* Preferably experienced in redesigning U.S. benefits programs and understanding vendor/payroll interfaces.


Education

* Bachelor’s degree required (HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field).
* Deep knowledge of compensation & benefits concepts, governance frameworks, and market trends.
* Strong influencing, consulting, and relationship‑building skills.
* Excellent analytical and Excel capabilities; ability to interpret complex data.
* Strong presentation and communication skills (especially PowerPoint).
* Commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to simplify complex topics.
* Ability to make timely, data‑driven decisions and manage ambiguity.
* High integrity, discretion, resilience, and customer‑focused attitude.
* Innovative, forward‑looking approach to analytics and problem solving.
* Fluent, professional English required; additional languages are an asset.
