Responsibilities
* Lead and coach a team of technicians in daily engine shop operations
* Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
* Guarantee high-quality workmanship in line with OEM, regulatory, and internal procedures
* Plan and allocate resources effectively, including shifts and vacation planning
* Oversee onboarding, qualification, and development of team members
* Monitor team performance and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
* Drive the implementation of Lean principles and 5S on the shop floor
* Ensure efficient coordination of disassembly, assembly, inspection, and handover processes in collaboration with Planning, Engineering, and Quality
* Manage shop floor documentation and ensure compliance and audit readiness
Qualifications
* Completed technical education (e.g. 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent)
* Proven leadership experience in a technical or production environment
* Engine MRO or aviation experience preferred
* Hands-on leadership style with a structured focus on quality and process
* Good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
* Willingness to work in a 2-shift model
* Clear communicator with strong team leadership skills
* Confident using MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
