ROLES AND Responsibilities This position will be dedicated to the Cell Culture Automation department, under the supervision of Senior Scientist Ensure cell culture laboratory activities dedicated to the maintenance of CHO cell lines (passaging, batch/fed batch evaluation, cell banking and expansion, cell line productivity and stability evaluation) Support the implementation of an automated cell cultivation platform involving cutting-edge technologies and best-in-class equipments Understand and execute automation procedures using complex integrated liquid handling platform and custom devices Participate to experimental designs to evaluate and characterize automated process performances using Design of Experiments (DoE) Perform control tests to monitor cell culture parameters through manual and automated processes Identify critical cell culture parameters, address bottlenecks in processes/workflows, participate to troubleshooting activities Participate to the characterization of optimized cell culture processes and execute optimization programs to support process improvement activities Independently plan and execute experiments according to preestablished plans, timelines and priorities Participate to the establishment of protocols and documentation required for process validation and platform certification Provide continuous efforts in developing and implementing innovative technologies, methods and improvements Support in equipment maintenance, interaction with equipment vendors Cooperate with internal team collaborators (CLD, R&D, Operations, Analytics) to troubleshoot biology, process or mechanical errors In a later phase, support global Cell Line Development activities Generate data templates and records. Organize and maintain meticulous records on all conducted experiments Manage data analysis, data visualization, verify data integrity and provide technical reports Present data at team meetings This position will require engagement to weekend call-outs and operate at distance or on site if necessary. Qualifications Strong experience in mammalian cell cultivation Advanced experience using DoE software (e.g. MODDE) and Excel VBA is a plus Experience with lab automated systems is preferred (e.g. Hamilton liquid handler) and automation scheduling software is a plus Experience with Raman spectroscopy is a plus Capacity to generate, manage, analyze, and maintain critical data Understand project timelines and priorities is essential Strong attention to details, time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part as a collaborative team
