For one of our prestigious international clients, a global leader in chemistry, we are currently recruiting an experienced Marketing & Commercial Strategy Lead for a one-year temporary assignment based at their site in Basel, Switzerland.

Marketing & Commercial Strategy Lead – Global Brand
Role Purpose
The role provides strategic and visionary leadership for global brand development across a key portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure that New Product Introductions (NPIs) are positioned for long-term commercial success and that brand strategy is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
You will work closely with cross-functional and international stakeholders, ensuring brand excellence, consistency, and measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and steward global brand strategies across the portfolio, ensuring long-term brand equity growth and alignment with commercial objectives
* Define and drive global positioning and value propositions for New Product Introductions (NPIs)
* Embed brand strategy, customer insights, and market intelligence into cross-functional decision-making
* Influence and guide regional and local teams to ensure high-quality execution of global brand strategies
* Ensure strong brand governance and consistency across markets
* Manage global brand budgets, define investment priorities, track ROI, and report on performance
* Translate complex technical and scientific information into compelling brand narratives in collaboration with technical and regulatory teams
* Monitor brand performance and continuously optimize positioning and impact
* Act as a brand ambassador internally, strengthening brand-led decision-making
Your Profile
* 12–15 years of experience in brand management, marketing strategy, or commercial strategy within complex, international organizations, with senior-level ownership of global or regional brand portfolios and New Product Introductions (NPIs)
* Proven ability to define and drive brand strategy from concept to commercialization, translating customer insights, market intelligence, and complex technical inputs into compelling value propositions
* Demonstrated experience influencing and challenging senior and executive stakeholders within matrix environments, without direct line authority
* Solid background in technical and highly regulated B2B industries (e.g. life sciences, chemicals, agri‑tech, pharma, engineering, or similar)
* Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple global initiatives, prioritize effectively, and deliver under time pressure
* Customer‑focused, proactive, and innovative leader with outstanding communication skills and the confidence to operate at senior level;
* Fluent English is mandatory (additional languages are a strong advantage)
