As a Senior Financial Analyst at Bio‑Rad, you will be a key part of the global FP&A team. This Margin analyst role is part of the Business Insights Center of Excellence (CoE).
The Business Insights CoE will be responsible for:
Serving as the single source of truth for finance data and analysis
Consolidating and communicating the story behind the numbers
Providing standardized reporting and processes to the business finance community and partners
Fostering collaboration, cross‑team exposure, and knowledge sharing
Driving continuous improvement and business excellence
You will be expected to have in‑depth knowledge of your internal and external customers to provide accurate reporting. You will partner with FP&A teams and data analysts to provide ad hoc analysis and reports for decision‑making support. You should have a strong analytical background with strict attention to detail. You are a highly motivated, technically proficient person with a strong sense of ownership and business ethics to deliver daily quality work. As an experienced finance professional, you will be expected to provide guidance to entry‑level staff and drive process improvements within the Finance organization.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Ownership of the Margin reporting (Bio‑Rad, Clinical Diagnostics Group, Life Science Group, Regions)
Prepare monthly variance analysis of actuals to forecast and budget, explain and investigate any major discrepancies, and understand key business drivers. Prepare monthly presentations on financial results for use by executive management
Develop analysis on Margin, to provide variance analysis on key drivers of margin. Support margin expansion analyzes. Analyze product Margin by Group, Franchise, Product Family, Product line, Region, country and Customer
Lead the development of new Dashboards & reporting, main contact point for Data analytics team
Support the Group partners to develop strategies to support productivity initiatives, such as product portfolio analysis, cost reductions, short‑term and long‑term financial strategic financial plans and other special projects requested by business management. Evaluate the Product Portfolio for Clinical Diagnostics Group, Life Science Group and Franchise to understand pricing, mix, volume, develop strategy for legacy products, perform contribution margin analysis, perform 80/20 analysis
Identify business process improvement opportunities, develop solution options, engage management and stakeholders to align on decisions, implement approved plans, and revise desk level procedures to reflect changes
Research and respond timely and accurately to partner inquiries
Ad hoc reporting and analysis
What You Bring
Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related field
3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, either in public accounting or corporate finance; experience supporting any of the following areas of business desired: revenue, margin
Strong expertise in data management and analytics, ensuring accurate, well‑governed, and reliable datasets for business decision‑making
Highly skilled in transforming complex data into actionable insights through KPI development, trend analysis, and performance reporting
Effectively bridges technical data analysis and business strategy to support revenue growth, margin optimization, and executive decision‑making
Strong MS Excel Skills and overall proficiency in MS Office. PowerBI or related experience preferred
Strong written communication skills to clearly convey monthly reporting to stakeholders
Ability to manage deadlines from multiple project streams
Experience with enterprise level Accounting and Planning software desired; Essbase and SAP preferred
