Job Description
* Manage and develop a small team of accountants
* Conduct accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles and applicable regulations, laws and standards
* Oversee day‑to‑day accounting team activities, ensuring that accounting entries are fully compliant with Swiss accounting standards, including monitoring the general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, inter‑company billings and reports while ensuring timeliness and accuracy of activities
* Implement and maintain accounting processes and procedures
* Ensure the quality and timely execution of month‑end closing and reporting as well as quarterly Group consolidation
* Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
* Ensure effective cash flow planning and management
* Assist in audits end‑to‑end, tax advisors, and 3rd party professional service providers
* Be responsible for compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, Swiss accounting standards (Code of Obligations) as well as local, state, and government reporting requirements, VAT and tax filings
* Provide business partnering support to local and international markets
* Play a leading role in process improvements
The Successful Applicant
* Big4 experience
* 5-10 years of finance experience with strong accounting knowledge
* University business degree, Brevet in accounting or equivalent is a plus
* Full understanding of Swiss GAAP and IFRS
* Proficient in Excel, and accounting packages
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a strong asset
* Fluent in English and French. Good German skills are a plus
* Experience in startup / scaleup business environment is a plus
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
