Operational Risk Analyst

The role of Operational Risk Analyst is critical in creating, defining, deploying, executing, developing, and managing the First Lines of Defense. This involves strategic development, consistent implementation, and effective execution of Operational Risk, Anti-fraud, and Third-Party Risk Management Policies and procedural frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development & Compliance:
o Direct the development and execution of projects for Operational Risk, Anti-fraud, and Third-Party Risk Management that comply with applicable regulations and identify milestones and compliance dates.
o Report and monitor conformance and delivery against project plans, making adjustments and recommendations, where justified.
o Develop and implement Operational Risk Policy and Procedure frameworks.
o Support the development and implementation of the Operational Risk and Third-Party Risk Management program strategy, policies, and models.
o Drive a culture of OR awareness and deliver required training.
o Maintain regulatory compliance and credibility with regulators at FINMA, with respect to Third Party risk management and Operational risk issues.
2. Third Party Risk Management:
o Supervise the implementation of the Third-Party Risk Management model.
o Challenge suppliers and services inventory.
o Monitor policy exceptions, risk tolerance breaches, and significant control gaps. Escalate pertinent findings in a timely manner.
o Execute due diligence and ongoing Third-Party control assessments.
o Support the design and implementation of the Banks Operational Risk (OR) Framework including Key Risk Indicators, Scenario Analysis, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Event Database, External Data.
o Collaborate in the implementation of Operational Risk training, awareness, and communication to foster risk consciousness within the business.


Requirements:

* Bachelor's or equivalent degree. Master's Degree preferred.
* Minimum of X years banking or financial services experience in risk management, internal control, or audit roles. Hands-on experience managing suppliers.
* Certifications: CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIA or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expert, PowerPoint, Word), other databases such as Access, project management tools.
* Able to consistently deliver on complex activities and timelines.
* Skilled in building relationships with stakeholders.
* Leadership in transformational change in culture and process.
