Manager – Quality Assurance Projects (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced
Quality Assurance Manager
to lead and oversee a team of QA Project Managers within a dynamic pharmaceutical/biotech environment. This is a
contract role
, ideal for a strategic QA professional with strong leadership experience and a deep understanding of tech transfer, process validation, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide daily oversight, tactical, and strategic leadership for a team of QA Project Managers supporting internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure QA deliverables, including sterility assurance assessments, process validation execution, tech transfer material assessments, deviations, and change controls, are completed on time and in full compliance.
* Serve as a point of escalation for QA staff and customers, leading resolution of complex quality issues.
* Develop, mentor, and train team members in quality principles, setting objectives and providing performance feedback.
* Actively manage KPIs, track trends, and recommend improvements for QA processes and metrics.
* Partner with internal stakeholders across Manufacturing, MSAT, Engineering, QC, Validation, and Supply Chain to support quality deliverables and resolve issues.
* Support regulatory and customer audits as required.
* Act as QA Project Manager on specific projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Education:
BSc/MSc in Science, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
* Experience:
10–15 years in Quality Assurance, including experience managing direct reports.
* Strong knowledge of tech transfer, process validation, regulatory compliance, deviations, CAPA, and change control processes.
* Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing QA teams.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to assess risk, implement compliant solutions, and provide superior customer service.
