About Our Client
An international and well‑established company in the FMCG sector, headquartered in the canton of Lucerne, is currently seeking a motivated and hands‑on EHS Professional (m/f/d). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives in safety, health, environmental performance, and sustainability while actively shaping a strong EHS culture and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Job Description
The EHS Professional (m/f/d) drives safety, health, and environmental excellence through hands‑on initiatives, compliance, and continuous improvement, by carrying out the following task area:
* Develops and implements a site‑specific EHS strategy, including training concepts
* Advises and coaches managers, employees, and contractors
* Owns target setting and action tracking and actively promotes a strong safety culture in daily operations
* Conducts and oversees risk assessments, site inspections, safety checks, and safety dialogues
* Plans and delivers effective training programs, Safety Days, evacuation drills, and ergonomics initiatives
* Ensures compliance with legal, internal, and normative requirements, including ISO standards and PPE regulations
* Coordinates hazardous materials management and further develops the first aid team
* Monitors and reports relevant EHS KPIs
* Oversees waste, water, and energy processes and initiates and follows up on reduction measures
* Collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams and coordinates data collection, implementation of actions, and effectiveness reviews
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate demonstrates the following profile:
* Successfully completed education in a STEM field, combined with further qualifications such as a Higher Technical College (HF) or University of Applied Sciences (FH).
* Additional certifications or training (e.g. SUVA, NEBOSH, Environmental Officer) are an advantage
* At least 3-6 years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrable responsibility for EHS programs
* Proven experience in actively shaping, implementing, and continuously improving processes.
* Solid knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) as well as environmental protection, energy management, and hazardous materials
* Hands‑on experience with risk assessments, risk management, training, and awareness programs
* Very good command of German and English (minimum B2 level)
* Strong communication skills with a confident and diplomatic manner
* Ability to take initiative while acting responsibly and pragmatically, maintaining the right balance between dare and care
