The Archives of the City of Morges manage, preserve and promote the municipal documentary heritage. They support the administration services in document management and contribute to preserving and transmitting the memory of the City. Following a retirement, the Municipal Registry is looking to fill the position of:
Archivist 80% to 100%
Main tasks:
Lead the management of municipal document management and archiving, supporting the digital transition and the development of the EDM system;
ensure the collection, classification, inventory, preservation and security of municipal archives and documentary heritage;
manage projects related to archives, heritage promotion and the improvement of documentary processes;
manage artworks and cultural promotion activities, including exhibitions, loans, publications and heritage events;
supervise the Archives entity, including budget management, annual report writing and training of the apprentice assistant in documentary information.
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in documentary information or an equivalent qualification;
experience in implementing and managing an EDM system;
proficiency in IT, particularly in records management;
excellent general knowledge;
knowledge of municipal administration and regional history;
perfect command of French and good writing skills;
