Head of Option Trading
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of the option trading market and will be able to generate significant PnL through option strategies. The role is withing the Gas Trading team, however the mandate is broad and allows the possibilities to have exposure to many other products in the energy spectrum, with the possibility to exploit correlations and synergies between them.
Supported by teams of quants, analysts, prop traders and IT, in this role you’ll be able leverage a significant portfolio of activities with the final aim to generate profits by using the company capital and VaR.
Your responsibilities
1. Lead, develop and implement option trading strategies building a portfolio that ensures profitability for the Gas Trading Team
2. Ensure performance, risk tracking and reporting of the option trading strategies
3. Benchmark, back test, stress test models to identify true sensitivities and risk. Keep continuous control and monitor of the greeks and all other risk factors
4. Provide guidance, direction and coaching, drive the rollout of advanced option trading strategies and become a strategic value creator
5. Execute and trade option trading strategies within the Gas Trading division
Your profile
6. 5+ years’ experience in trading European Gas & Power markets
7. Solid understanding and hands-on experience on building and maintain robust models and scalable infrastructure in the energy trading sector
8. Ability to provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues and lead improvements.
9. Strong focus on Structured Products and Options
10. Quantitative or / financial background
11. Strong communicator and team player with a “play to win” attitude
