Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT System Technology Architect to spearhead the design, implementation and management of IT infrastructures that support core R&D processes.
As an IT System Technology Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing and managing IT infrastructures that ensure a seamless user experience.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, manage and operate IT systems and infrastructure services including public/private cloud and network infrastructure to meet operational needs.
2. Drive technology innovations and collaborate with R&D stakeholders, Corporate IT and other software/hardware vendors to identify, evaluate and implement cutting-edge solutions.
3. Oversee the installation, specification, testing and service transition of software and hardware ensuring they align with operational requirements.
4. Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of server and network infrastructures to ensure reliability and robustness of IT services.
5. Provide expert support for server/network troubleshooting ensuring smooth operation and resolving user issues promptly.
6. Address security and performance issues ensuring all systems meet industry standards and corporate security requirements.
7. Collaborate with Corporate IT, application operations and other teams to develop strategies and action plans for upgrades and integrations delivering solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience with core IT infrastructure technologies.
* Windows/Linux OS configuration and management of base infrastructure services e.g. DHCP, DNS, domain controllers.
* Managing virtualized environments hosting hardware, network virtualization and cloud-based infrastructure.
* Network and security technologies e.g. Cisco, FortiGate, RADIUS, L2/3 switches.
* Familiarity with security principles for systems and network administration vulnerability management zero-trust architecture etc.
* Proficiency with modern developer toolchains and workflows e.g. Git-based CI/CD.
* Experience with IT/OT architectures for R&D environments/workflows based on state-of-the-art concepts including migration strategy from today's solution.
* Strong problem-solving skills assessing complex systems proposing solutions.
* Collaborative mindset fostering teamwork across global cross-functional teams.
* Self-starter taking ownership of vision leading initiatives making decisions driving improvements within the organization supported by project management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills English is required German is a plus.
* Curiosity to explore latest technologies willingness to adapt to an evolving technology landscape.
