Description
The
Director, Physician & Diagnostician Outreach
will build and lead Bierman Autism Centers' physician and diagnostician outreach function from the ground up. This role exists to establish Bierman as a trusted, default clinical partner for medical professionals by creating durable, ethical, and high-impact referral relationships grounded in education, outcomes, and service to the medical community.

Historically, physician outreach has been episodic rather than a formal discipline. This role will design the strategy, operating model, and playbooks for outreach while personally executing in-market during the initial launch phase. Over time, the Director will enable scalable, repeatable referral pipelines that reduce reliance on paid marketing and strengthen Bierman's clinical credibility across markets.

Qualified candidates will enjoy building something new, demonstrate strong executive presence with clinicians, and balance relationship-building with disciplined execution. They will be highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, accountable for outcomes, and motivated by building systems that scale.

This role reports to the EVP of Growth and works cross-functionally with Clinical Leadership, Marketing, Intake, and Revenue Cycle Management.

Key Responsibilities:
Function Design & Initial Launch

* Partner with the EVP of Growth to define the strategy, scope, and success metrics for physician and diagnostician outreach
* Design the outreach operating model, including targeting, segmentation, cadence, materials, and follow-up standards
* Build scalable playbooks for:
* Physician relationship development
* Diagnostician partnerships
* Educational outreach (e.g., lunch & learns, webinars)
* Market entry and new clinic launches

FIeld Execution & Relationship Ownership

* Personally own and develop relationships with key physicians, developmental pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, and diagnostic providers
* Conduct in-person and virtual outreach to establish credibility, trust, and long-term partnerships
* Serve as Bierman's clinical-business ambassador to the medical community
* Plan and deliver educational events such as lunch & learns and clinical briefings
* Ensure all outreach is ethical, non-salesy, compliant, and clinically rigorous
* After successful function take-off, partner with state, clinic, and clinical leaders to transition toward a blended model of personal execution and local enablement

Process Measurement & Scalability

* Track outreach activity, referral flow, and conversion in partnership with Marketing and Intake
* Build systems to ensure outreach efforts are repeatable, measurable, and scalable across markets
* Continuously refine messaging and approach based on referral quality, outcomes, and physician feedback

Requirements
Perform Other Duties As Assigned

* Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, marketing, or a related field required
* 8–12+ years of experience in healthcare outreach, physician relations, clinical marketing, or medical partnerships
* Proven experience building a new outreach or referral function from scratch
* Demonstrated success developing and sustaining relationships with physicians or diagnosticians
* Experience operating across multi-site or multi-market healthcare organizations
* Strong understanding of healthcare ethics, compliance, and referral dynamics
* High comfort operating independently in ambiguous, build-from-zero environments

Strongly Preferred:

* Experience in behavioral health, pediatrics, autism services, or complex care models
* Experience translating clinical outcomes into physician-relevant value propositions
* Prior relationships with medical stakeholders in markets relevant to Bierman

Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritize work and design structure while actively executing
* Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
* Comfort operating in a primarily MacOS environment

Traits & Ways of Working:

* High credibility and executive presence with clinicians
* Relationship-driven but data-informed
* Persistent, thoughtful, and non-transactional
* Comfortable with rejection and long sales cycles
* Bias toward ownership, learning, and iteration
