Responsibilities
* Maintain recognized expertise in polymer material development and compoundation by integrating the latest technologies, tools, and methods into your work.
* Develop new solution approaches by pursuing ideas, forming hypotheses, and defining paths to validation.
* Develop and formulate new polymers, operate the twin screw extruder, and support production tests.
* Understand and initiate IP generation in your domain and participate in the development of the project IP strategy.
Qualifications
* Enjoy collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, universities, the global ABB Material Competence Center, ABB R&D centers, and the railway market.
* Demonstrate advanced skills through 5 years of experience in polymer formulation and compoundation.
* Have solid knowledge of extrusion and injection molding processes.
* Be passionate about innovation and curious about new materials and collaboration.
* Hold an MSc in Chemistry, preferably organic chemistry or polymers.
* Communicate confidently in German and English.
