You will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating cost control activities for high-value pharmaceutical projects. You will ensure robust planning, cost control, risk management, and reporting. Responsabilities :
* Prepare detailed cost control reports, including budgets, forecasts, expenditure, and variance analysis.
* Interface with estimating, engineering, planning, procurement, and finance teams
* Maintain and analyse staffing plans, ensuring accurate data collection and effective communication of personnel requirements.
* Promote cost awareness and support budget holders in managing and understanding budgets.
* Analyse cost data, identify variances, and articulate relevant insights to senior management.
* Coordinate project change control and assess cost impacts
* Ensure alignment with cost breakdown structures for requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
* Lead contingency management and provide strategic cost advice
* Mentor and guide junior cost engineers as needed
About you :
* Master’s degree Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Science, or equivalent experience
* 10+ years of experience in financial controls, cost engineering, and large project environments
* Experience with large-scale industrial projects (preferred in pharma, but oil & gas, chemicals, or similar sectors acceptable if project scale is comparable)
* Strong technical understanding of engineering project environments
* Proven ability to challenge cost information from a technical standpoint
* Proven cost leadership on projects of ≥250 million CHF
* Proficiency in cost forecasting, cost reporting, budget control, and change management
* Excellent English skills (C1/C2); German is a strong plus (B2 minimum)
