Beschreibung

You have built systems before. You know the hard part is not shipping another dashboard, connecting another API, or adding another AI tool. The hard part is designing a system people can trust.

Arbora is building Europe’s cultural Operating System for the AI Era: Arbora OS is a cultural intelligence engine that helps organisations understand how AI, leadership, culture, and human systems interact before pressure becomes crisis.

Arbora was born from a simple but powerful insight: the principles that drive Olympic high-performance teams — trust, alignment, psychological safety, and shared purpose — are the same principles that define thriving organisational cultures.

Our co-founder Steve spent years in elite Olympic coaching environments, where he witnessed first‑hand how culture makes the difference between teams that win and teams that fall apart under pressure. The question was: could these principles be measured, tracked, and cultivated in organisations?

We are looking for a senior technology architect and leader who can help build the technical trust layer behind that ambition. This is a founding CTO‑track role for someone who wants to architect a system where AI is useful, auditable, human‑centred, and ethically governed from the beginning.

Arbora is already advanced in its thinking around responsible AI. Our AI Policy is built around 10 governance principles:

* Prioritize Human Agency and Oversight
* Foster a Culture of Transparency and Explainability
* Embed Accountability at All Levels
* Champion Fairness, Diversity, and Non‑Discrimination
* Ensure Technical Robustness and Safety
* Commit to Continuous Monitoring and Adaptation
* Proactively Ensure Legal and Ethical Compliance by design

Our ACX100 framework turns those 10 principles into 100 practical heuristics for evaluating AI‑human culture. Now we need to turn that philosophy into Arbora OS: a working technical, operational, and governance system. Your mission is to design and lead the architecture that makes Arbora OS credible, secure, scalable, low‑friction, and human‑centred.

That means owning the foundations for:

* Arbora OS architecture and technical roadmap
* AI/agent orchestration and MLOps
* AI‑assisted data hygiene and learning loops
* Audit trails, access controls, and privacy‑aware infrastructure
* Low‑code and API‑first integrations
* EU/EEA‑first data architecture, with documented exceptions, consent, and governance where external AI providers are used
* A reliable internal operating system in Notion that helps Arbora OS move quickly without creating “chaos debt”

The goal is to help Arbora's clients see cultural risk, trust signals, and AI‑human experience patterns early enough to act with care and nudge the culture forward.

Reality of this Role

This is a founding‑stage leadership role. You will be expected to set technical direction, create the operating architecture, make trade‑offs visible, and turn Arbora’s responsible AI principles into the Arbora OS.

* Seat: CTO track, with a pathway to Co‑Founding Partner consideration
* Location: remote possible; semi‑remote opportunities in Helsinki, Luzern, and Antwerp
* Stage: early‑stage, small team, high ambition
* Compensation: initial 6 month salary‑free sweat‑equity phase with optional time‑limited opportunity to invest IP and/or capital early in the Arbora journey
* Focus: Arbora OS architecture, AI governance, Arbora Internal DevOps, integrations, MLOps, security, privacy, and technical reliability

This position is only suitable if you can consciously carry early‑stage founding risk. We will be transparent about contribution accounting, equity logic, IP contribution, governance rights (under Swiss law), and the pathway toward a Founding Partner seat. This is not “free work”, it is a founding risk conversation and we want that conversation to be explicit and documented from the beginning.

We have currently Built

* Live proof of concept prototypes and data flows with proprietary algorithm
* Website Investor portal for sales is ready
* Website with custom full‑suite admin team access to research and strategy
* Internal Operations system OS is up and running with advanced AI orchestration, skills and tooling
* Arbora is currently running a lean, workflow‑first stack centred on Notion as the internal operating system, with Google Workspace as the communication and document substrate. The current stack includes Google Cloud/GCP and Workspace, Figma, GitHub, Fathom, Calendly, 1Password with passkeys, Notion including Notion AI Agent, Resend, Replit and Cloudflare.
* Tools under investigation include Workato, Valohai, n8n, Perplexity, Thesys, Claude/Anthropic and deep API integration and data handling platforms. The architectural direction is low‑code where possible. Code where it creates durable advantage. API‑first everywhere. Web3‑compatible when it adds trust, identity, verification, or governance value. We do not want a heavy custom‑build too early. We are building an observable integration architecture that can scale from internal operations into product‑grade Culture OS infrastructure.

What you will lead

* AI/agent orchestration and MLOps
* Apply Arbora’s care by design patterns directly into product and operations including consent
* Data ethics and privacy architecture
* AI sovereignty and provider resilience
* Reliability and technical calm

What great looks like in 90 days

* A one‑page architecture map of Arbora OS as it exists today and where it needs to go next
* A roadmap for Arbora OS product‑grade scalability, AI governance maturity, and EU/EEA‑first data operations including resourcing, hiring or subcontracting milestones
* A clear integration map for Notion, Google Workspace, GitHub, Replit, 1Password, GCP, Resend, LinkedIn/Kondo, Calendly, Fathom, and emerging automation layers
* A practical MLOps/agent orchestration baseline (Valohai): logging, evaluation, prompt/version tracking, HITL checkpoints, fallback paths, and learning loops
* A security and access baseline in place (1password + security keys): 1Password discipline, role‑based permissions, API key and dev environment secrets hygiene, audit rituals, backup logic, and least‑privilege defaults
* Two or three high‑leverage Notion automations or integrations that reduce friction for the whole team
* A technical decision log in Notion that makes architectural trade‑offs visible to non‑technical founders
* A collective working rhythm for weekly release notes, triage, technical debt, and responsible AI review by the founding team

Must‑haves

* You are a senior technical leader, architect, or CTO‑type builder who has maintained real systems, not only prototypes
* You can move fast under ambiguity without fragmenting the stack
* You understand low‑code and automation, but know when durable code is necessary
* You understand AI/agent tooling, MLOps, evaluation, logging, and human‑in‑the‑loop governance
* You can design privacy‑aware, consent‑aware, security‑conscious systems
* You can communicate technical trade‑offs clearly to non‑technical founders
* You are willing to be hands‑on while still thinking at architecture and company level
* You are fluent in written and spoken English
* You can realistically commit 80%–100% during the founding phase
* Experience with Notion as an operating system, Google Workspace, GCP, GitHub, Replit, 1Password, Resend, Fathom, Calendly, LinkedIn workflows, or CRM/data integrations
* Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, MCPs, RAG, agent workflows, Shadcn, Figma, or lightweight data infrastructure
* Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, provider abstraction, AI audit logs, model evaluation, or AI governance tooling
* Familiarity with GDPR, Swiss FADP, EU AI Act readiness, data residency, or responsible AI frameworks
* Web3 awareness, especially around identity, signing, credentials, attestations, access control, or governance
* Experience in HR tech, organisational analytics, culture intelligence, people data, or workplace transformation
* Interest in self‑leadership, conscious communication, Teal‑style working, or participatory governance

It might not be for you

* If you need a fully specified product brief before you can begin
* If you want a title without hands‑on ownership
* If you move fast by ignoring privacy, security, consent, or documentation
* If you see culture as “soft” rather than as a strategic operating system
* If you want to replace human judgement with automation
* If a 6 months salary‑free sweat‑equity phase is not realistic for your life situation
* If you cannot commit 80%–100%
