Compliance Director, Switzerland & Europe

For a company making a meaningful contribution in the oncology space, we are currently recruiting a Director, Compliance Switzerland & Europe. This senior leadership role oversees and strengthens the compliance and ethics framework across Switzerland and Europe, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the position drives scalable compliance structures that foster integrity and support sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and continuously strengthen the compliance and ethics framework across Switzerland, the UK, and other European markets in line with applicable international laws, regulations and internal standards
* Act as a strategic compliance advisor to senior leadership, providing pragmatic guidance on operations, growth initiatives, and risk management
* Lead compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and mitigation planning across existing and future European markets
* Oversee the Code of Conduct, speak‑up mechanisms, compliance investigations, and remediation plans in collaboration with HR and Legal
* Define and oversee the European compliance training and awareness strategy, including localization and tracking of mandatory trainings
* Provide oversight for Medical Affairs and Commercial compliance, including IITs, sponsorships, grants, congresses, marketing material review, financial controls, and regulatory interactions
Requirements
* Law degree (LLB, LL.M., JD, or equivalent) and admission to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction
* Recognized compliance or ethics certification (e.g., CCEP, CCEP‑I) preferred
* Minimum ten (10) years of compliance, legal, or regulatory experience within pharma, biotech, or another highly regulated industry
* Demonstrated experience leading compliance at a European or regional level in multi‑country environments
* Strong knowledge of Swiss, EU, and key European compliance requirements with a proven ability to influence decision‑making of senior leaders
* Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages preferred
* High integrity and sound judgment
