The Sgipa School is a specialised, private and subsidised secondary II institution, hosting nearly 150 students with learning difficulties and significant academic delay. The specialised teaching teams and psychologists support students in building an individualised project adapted to their abilities and professional goals.
The Sgipa School curriculum is structured into two distinct cycles. Cycle 1 is a preparatory cycle for students needing to develop their autonomy. It focuses on developing their pre-professional, academic and social skills to enable each student to build an individualised and realistic professional project. Cycle 2 is a finalisation cycle, lasting one to two years. It promotes progress in academic and professional areas. Students realise their professional project and orient themselves towards the world of work with or without additional training.
To complete our Cycle 2 team, we are looking for a:

Your mission_______________________________________
define the programme, organise lessons and ensure class supervision in accordance with the foundation’s educational guidelines;
choose teaching methods and tools, adapting them to the specific needs of the students;
ensure the smooth running of the assigned classes and groups through personalised care of the students, including during breaks and meals;
organise camps, outings, visits outside the school; as well as professional internships;
work closely with the school psychologists, students’ families and the school’s partner organisations;
participate in reflection and coordination within the multidisciplinary team regarding student follow-ups and the general organisation of Cycle 2;
develop and monitor the individualised educational project (IEP);
prepare the skills assessment;
carry out accounting and administrative tasks related to class management, keep individual student files up to date and write reports concerning them.
Your profile_________________________________________
University master’s degree in specialised teaching (MESP), master’s in educational sciences or equivalent qualification;
Experience in supervising young people with special educational needs, in specialised teaching and/or social education;
Knowledge of the Geneva socio-educational network;
Good writing skills and proficiency in common office software.
Activity rate: 75%
Contract type: permanent contract
