The Role
The Risk Business Systems Analyst provides systems administration and reporting for SAAS‑based technology solutions used by the Hyatt Risk Management department. The role is responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving software bugs and technical issues across a suite of internal and external applications. The analyst works closely with vendors, developers, and corporate end users to ensure timely and effective resolution of software problems.
The Systems Analyst works under general supervision to formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact‑finding, combined with an understanding of applicable business systems, technology, and industry requirements. They develop or modify moderately complex information systems, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic and workflows as necessary to automate or optimize processes through third‑party applications. They perform systems analysis, considering the business implications of technology in the current business environment.
In addition, the position will collaborate with our application support team and business owners to assist in timely resolving level 3 system issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, both domestic and global
Manage Tier 1‑2 response to incoming service requests for all Hyatt Risk Management technology platforms
Collaborate with vendor support teams to escalate and resolve technical issues, providing clear status and feedback to end users
Monitor and triage incoming bugs and technical issues from users and internal teams
Reproduce, document, and prioritize bugs using issue‑tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow)
Collaborate with software engineers to diagnose root causes and verify fixes
Provide clear communication to business users regarding technical issues and problem resolution
Manage user access and administration based upon Hyatt IT procedures
Develop test plans and perform application testing for configuration or system‑related changes
Develop, deliver, and maintain end‑user training and system documentation as needed
Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and Risk Management technology solutions
Qualifications
Experience Required:
1‑2 years of IT experience in a help desk or technology support role, preferably in a global organization
Experience with technical troubleshooting and support of non‑technical end users in a professional capacity
Strong knowledge of user administration principles and tools such as Active Directory and Multi‑Factor Authentication
Experience managing teams, external vendors, and large budgets
Some knowledge of application development, programming and scripting languages, project management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience Preferred:
PC and Microsoft Office proficiency required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with web‑based applications management, including access management and provisioning, reporting, and/or customization
Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, or similar bug tracking and/or ticket systems
Familiarity or experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or BrightGauge
Familiarity with Oracle ERP and risk/insurance management systems (e.g., RMIS, Origami, Riskonnect) a plus
Familiarity with ETL and other data analytics tools
Familiarity with coding or scripting languages
Familiarity with data analytics tools and enterprise integration systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating between business and technical requirements
Excellent customer support skills and a desire to help others
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Aptitude for technology and troubleshooting
Ability to manage multiple issues across different software platforms simultaneously
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently
Ability to execute standard operating procedures according to specified policy or industry best practices
Quick learner
The pay range for this position is $38.00/hour – $43.00/hour. The final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
