The opportunity
In this key leadership role, you drive the HUB’s sourcing strategy for your assigned spend, balancing cost, quality, risk, and supply continuity. You take accountability for category performance, lead supplier management activities, and guide a team toward operational excellence in accordance with PG, BU, and HUB standards.
How you’ll make an impact
1. Develop and execute compliant, resilient and sustainable short‑ and mid‑term sourcing strategies based on total cost of ownership
2. Lead negotiations and manage contracts, frame agreements and SLAs to ensure competitive prices, lead times and favourable terms
3. Direct the Supply Quality & Development team in supplier issue resolution and performance improvement
4. Collaborate with factories, BU/GPG/HUB stakeholders to support DtV, R&D, bidding and NPI activities
5. Initiate and drive cost‑reduction, risk‑mitigation and supply‑performance projects
6. Oversee supplier relationships, including qualification, audits, performance reviews and escalation management
7. Provide analytics and market intelligence on price trends, cost development and critical material supply/demand
8. Lead and develop the category team, ensuring effective staffing, capability building and cross-functional project delivery
Your background
9. Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing or supply chain management in an industrial/manufacturing context
10. Strong negotiation skills and expertise in contract and agreement management
11. Solid understanding of CIPS-based category strategies and total cost of ownership principles
12. Experience working with supplier qualification, performance management, audits and risk assessments
13. Strong analytical abilities with knowledge of market dynamics, cost structures and benchmarking
14. Track record of leading cost‑cutting, DtV, NPI or forward‑sourcing projects
15. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team development and cross‑functional collaboration
16. Fluent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across factories, BU and HUB levels
