As part of our development, we are recruiting a Sharepoint Governance Project Manager.
Design, implement, and manage the SharePoint governance framework, including policies for site creation, access management, metadata, records retention, and content lifecycle.
Define standards for usage, ownership, and stewardship of SharePoint sites, lists, libraries
Develop and maintain governance documentation.
Lead governance-related SharePoint projects (e.g., re-architecture of site structures, content audits, compliance initiatives, rollout of new governance tools or policies).
Engage stakeholders to ensure governance policies align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Create project plans, manage timelines, and report on progress to senior leadership.
Work closely with legal, compliance, and information security teams to ensure that SharePoint usage meets all relevant regulations.
Coordinate audits and implement corrective actions where governance gaps are identified.
Promote consistent classification, protection, and retention of information across SharePoint environments.
Lead change management efforts related to governance (e.g., rollout of new site provisioning processes, mandatory metadata standards, or retention rules).
Act as the key point of contact for governance-related questions and decisions.
Partner with content owners, business units, and champions to ensure accountability and awareness of governance responsibilities.
Your profile:
5+ years of experience managing SharePoint projects with a focus on governance or compliance.
Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint Online governance best practices (site provisioning, permissions models, lifecycle management, information architecture).
Proven experience defining and enforcing policies around data retention, access, labeling, and information classification.
Strong project management skills (preferably with experience in matrixed or enterprise environments).
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification, with practical experience applying process improvement methodologies is a plus.
Ability to translate policy and compliance requirements into actionable, business-friendly governance standards.
