Job Description
The Financial Controller will assist the CFO in controlling financial processes, coordinating reporting, and consolidating financial data from various entities. Key responsibilities include:
* Implementing and improving financial processes.
* Managing quarterly reporting for multiple entities.
* Supervising accounting processes such as AP, AR, GL, VAT, taxes, payroll, and petty cash.
* Conducting intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis.
* Executing intercompany re-invoicing via the head office.
* Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with affiliate accounting departments.
* Providing support and training to local accounting colleagues.
* Creating and implementing common accounting and financial guidelines.
* Identifying and proposing continuous improvements to financial processes and ERP systems.
* Preparing short business plans for new capital expenditures.
* Ensuring compliance with company rules and policies (QHSE, ETHICS, FCPA).
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial control.
* Fluency in English and French.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
* Experience in supervising and training accounting teams.
* Ability to travel to various regions as required (10-25%).
