Role Overview

The Manager, M&A Integration is a hands-on execution role within Oakline's integration function, responsible for supporting and, over time, leading post-close integrations of newly acquired Partner Companies onto the Oakline platform. This role program-manages the integration process from Day 1 readiness (pre-close) through stabilization (approximately the first 90 days post-close), ensuring new Partner Companies (PartnerCos) are successfully onboarded to Oakline's core systems, operating rhythm, and performance standards.

This role operates with meaningful autonomy while partnering closely with senior integration leadership. The Manager, M&A Integration drives execution through coordination and influence, balances the objectives of multiple stakeholders, exercises strong business judgment, and surfaces risks early with proposed solutions.

Success in the role also requires contributing to the development and continuous improvement of Oakline's integration playbooks, helping turn real-world execution into repeatable processes that scale across the Oakline portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

6. Foster trust and represent Oakline's brand: Build strong, trust-based relationships with PartnerCo leadership and teams, helping Oakline show up as collaborative, values-aligned, and highly professional from Day 1
7. Lead post-close integrations: Lead the day-to-day execution of post-close integrations for 1–3 PartnerCos concurrently (with exposure to increasing complexity), driving each PartnerCo to stabilization within 90 days post-close
8. Align cross-functional execution: Coordinate across Tech, Talent, HR, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure integration plans are clearly documented, owners are aligned, and execution stays on track
9. Coordinate Platform and Systems Adoption: Drive onboarding and adoption across Oakline's platform systems (ERP, PMS, CRM, HRIS, data/reporting, etc.), including cutover readiness (training, permissions, workflow alignment, testing, go-live support, hypercare)
10. Run integration cadence and workplans: Build and maintain integration workplans using Oakline's playbooks and tools; run weekly integration meetings with crisp agendas, notes, action items, owners, and deadlines
11. Drive program accountability: Maintain clear ownership, milestone tracking, and follow-through across workstreams; surface blockers early and keep the critical path protected
12. Maintain integration dashboards and reporting: Keep integration trackers and dashboards accurate and current to support leadership, executive, and board visibility; ensure statuses are credible and consistent
13. Support diligence and pre-close planning: Contribute to diligence and pre-close integration planning by identifying early risks/dependencies and supporting post-close readiness planning in partnership with M&A team and senior leaders
14. Continuously enhance the M&A integration playbook: Contribute to the evolution of Oakline's integration playbooks by documenting lessons learned, templates, timelines, and best practices from active integrations; ensure updates get embedded into how integrations are actually run
15. Support strategic initiatives beyond integration: Support high-priority cross-functional initiatives when needed (e.g., enterprise rollouts tied to integration), primarily through execution support and project management

Success in the Role

This is a foundational execution role for Oakline's M&A engine:

16. By 2 months, the Manager is fully onboarded, embedded in active integrations, and fluent in Oakline's systems and playbook.
17. By 6 months, they are independently managing multiple integrations in parallel, serving as the primary point of contact and accountability across workstreams, and developing a roadmap for future integration team design.
18. By 12 months, they've refined Oakline's integration playbook, built scalable tracking and reporting systems, and materially improved the integration experience for internal teams and acquired partners.

Location

Location is flexible; however, in-person engagement across the portfolio is critical for this role. As such, travel is required and can be expected as much as weekly for periods of time.

Candidate Requirements

19. 3–6 years of experience in integration, program management, operations, consulting, or similar execution-oriented roles
20. Exposure to M&A integration or complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments
21. Experience supporting technology system implementations or operational transitions (ERP, PMS, CRM, HRIS, or similar platforms)
22. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
23. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at the VP and senior executive level across target organizations
24. Comfort taking complete ownership and operating with autonomy in situations with incomplete information

Equal Opportunity Hiring Policy

Oakline is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at every level of the organization. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
