Your responsibilities
* By designing and implementing research strategies, you improve the understanding of liver disease manifestation in urea cycle disorders (focus : citrin deficiency).
* You will work with cell and animal models as well as patient-derived liver biopsies.
* By performing data analyses and summarizing the results in peer-reviewed publications and / or presentations at scientific meetings, you contribute to scientific knowledge.
* You will participate in working group activities (internal and external meetings, some lasting several days).
* When providing guidance and support for other members of the working group, you foster a productive and supportive environment.
Your profile
* PhD or MD PhD, with a proven track record in investigating liver physiology and pathology
* Strong interest in and good understanding of rare metabolic diseases
* Effective communication skills and be enthusiastic about working in an interdisciplinary team of scientists, biologists, clinicians and patient organisations
* Fluent in English (written and spoken), fluency in any other language(s) is a plus
