As part of the EU business, the team leads category strategy, commercial growth, and buyer experience across pre‑loved fashion and luxury categories, including clothing, footwear, accessories, luxury watches, jewelry, and handbags. /p pWe are hiring a Fashion Category Lead for France and Italy, based in our Bern office in Switzerland. This role sits at the intersection of seller development, brand, trading, product, and authentication operations. You will define category strategy, drive commercial growth initiatives, develop relationships with leading sellers and brands, and collaborate across teams to improve Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV), conversion, and customer trust. /p h3What You Will Accomplish /h3 ul liDevelop and execute the Fashion Luxury category strategy for France and Italy, identifying opportunities to drive category growth and performance. /li liPartner with Business Development teams to shape assortment strategies and support inventory acquisition initiatives. /li liBuild and maintain relationships with strategic sellers, negotiating commercial agreements and supporting long‑term growth opportunities. /li liUse customer insights, sales performance data, and market trends to develop actionable category plans and inform decision‑making. /li liEstablish category goals and monitor key performance indicators, using performance analysis to identify opportunities and address challenges. /li liConduct competitive analysis to understand market dynamics, uncover growth opportunities, and inform category priorities. /li liCollaborate with teams across trading, marketing, account management, finance, operations, customer service, product, shipping, and legal functions, while providing input into product requirements to represent local buyer needs within eBay’s Fashion Luxury roadmap. /li /ul h3What You Will Bring /h3 ul liExperience leading a fashion or luxury e‑commerce category. /li liKnowledge of and established relationships within the fashion and/or luxury retail, resale, and/or e‑commerce industry. /li liStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and present to senior leaders. /li liFluency in English plus French and/or Italian. /li liStrong commercial and analytical skills, with experience translating data and insights into clear priorities and actions. /li liA customer‑focused approach, balancing commercial objectives with trust and safety considerations. /li liAbility and willingness to travel regularly, including occasional weekend travel, to support events and seller engagement activities across France and Italy. /li /ul peBay is an equal opportunity employer.
