Overview
At the Infrastructure Division you forge the backbone of Swiss mobility. You ensure trains travel safely, punctually and reliably nationwide. A focused, collegial team welcomes you, and you will contribute directly to rail safety.
Responsibilities
* Conduct independent inspection and in‑office inspections of track infrastructure and document results with the available tools.
* Perform standardised measurements on track and switch systems – independently or in a team – and maintain accurate records in the relevant systems.
* Take necessary immediate actions and report safety‑relevant defects without delay to keep train traffic safe.
* Support the Technical Assistant in planning and performing route inspections and in analysing and evaluating the results – your observations are essential for sustainable solutions.
* Occasionally perform duties as safety officer or safety attendant, adding variety to your role.
Qualifications
* Execute tasks independently, reliably and with a clear focus on safety.
* Organisational talent, initiative and flexibility.
* Several years of practical experience in track infrastructure, with knowledge of on‑site challenges.
* Proficiency and openness in using IT applications, with a willingness to further develop your skills.
* Completed vocational training in railway or civil engineering and a Category B driving licence. A qualification as foreman, paving worker or chief foreman completes the profile.
