Your Purpose
The Data Scientist supports the On Board Revenue (OBR) team in driving data-informed decisions for different On Board Revenue (OBR) business (e.g. Beverage, SPA, Restaurants, Excursion, etc) across both digital and onboard channels. This role plays a critical part in generating insights from historical performance, supporting campaign targeting, and optimising the OBR product portfolio to enhance guest experience and revenue.
Reporting into the Data & Analytics Manager, the Data Scientist will work collaboratively with commercial stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable analytics that inform strategic decisions for onboard operations and sales.
Your Impact
* Data Analysis and Insights: Analyse OBR products sales performance across multiple itineraries, channels, and canvases to uncover patterns and trends that support business decisions.
* Targeted Campaign Support: Identify the optimal products to promote for each canvas or segment within the prepaid area. Support the planning and targeting of OBR campaigns aimed at maximising conversion and guest satisfaction.
* Product Portfolio Optimisation: Suggest enhancements or changes to the OBR offering based on consumption data and guest preferences. Support continuous improvement of the onboard product mix.
* Ad Hoc Commercial Analysis: Perform bespoke analyses to assess business initiatives such as new canvas openings, itinerary changes, or pricing tests. Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the OBR Commercial, Onboard Operations, and Marketing teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven insights that support their goals.
* Performance Monitoring: Track OBR KPIs over time, identifying under- and over-performing products, canvases, or channels. Support the business in identifying areas of opportunity.
Your Journey so far
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
* 2–4 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in cruise, travel or hospitality.
* Proficiency in data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Python or R a plus).
* Experience with sales performance or product portfolio analytics preferred.

* Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders.
* Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with both technical and commercial teams.
* EU Passport or right to work in Switzerland
