Senior accountant / Group finance manager - Family office 80%
The client is a top-tier family office managing complex cross-border investments. Reporting directly to the COO and the CFO, you will have the opportunity to establish the accounting functions for the group, harmonize processes, and drive changes with the potential for senior management responsibilities in the future.
Responsibilities
* Create from scratch an internal accounting function (moving away from outside service providers) covering the activities of two entities in Geneva and one abroad
* Selection and implementation of an accounting system
* Design workflow processes to manage the life cycle of expenses from receipt to payment
* Invoice receipt, expense approval (subject to rules and limits)
* Payment generation and payment approval & release (subject to rules & limits)
* Bank reconciliation
* Populate Software / Portfolio Management Service with accounting data and other data to assist in building internal systems
* Build internal reporting systems to provide senior management with regular granularity on the business
* Involvement in other finance-oriented aspects of the business, including the use of transfer pricing
Qualifications
* Recognized accounting qualification with 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a financial services setting
* Accounting principles including double entry, accruals, prepayments, journals, design of the general ledger and group consolidation
* Swiss tax / VAT – international tax knowledge is a plus
* Swiss stamp duty
* Regulatory requirements
* Highly numerate with strong data analysis skills
* Good communication skills in French and English (verbal and written)
* Tech-savvy with working knowledge of Excel
