Position Overview
The Strategy & Business Development Analyst is a key support role for EMEA business strategy, providing a blend of quantitative data analytics and qualitative insights. The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business opportunities and supporting cross-regional projects that drive growth strategies and business initiatives of Ralph Lauren EMEA. Key projects may include strategic opportunity analysis, channel and category growth, brand and label portfolio assessment, current business performance evaluation, peer/industry analysis and benchmarking.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and business approach and be able to quickly review and collaborate with business partners to articulate key business insights to Senior Management and other key stakeholders. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and a storytelling mindset to build compelling and value-driving stories out of large and diverse volumes of data.
Sales Analytics
1. Maintain and develop automated tools to leverage multiple-source data and deliver quick turnaround for ad hoc data requests
2. Co-ordinate, supervise and produce centralized reporting on a regular basis. Build a repeatable suite of reporting tools used by all, based on stakeholder requirements and feedback.
3. Provide sales insights on ongoing initiatives (product, distribution, marketing campaigns) on a monthly or quarterly basis, to support future calls-to-action based on previous performance.
4. Create compelling and highly visual PowerPoint presentations for Senior Management meetings and other ad hoc business analyses.
5. Maintain databases accuracy by cross checking data and updating mapping across all criteria.
Strategic Initiatives
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional analysts to gather relevant data and insights for strategic decision-making
7. Establish processes and metrics to evaluate business performance and stated objective
8. Assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
9. Develop data analytics initiatives to monitor strategic projects performance and business impact
10. Support the delivery of reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
11. Collect and analyze data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and online database
12. Analyze the performance of existing and new competitors or markets
13. Support strategic framing of various projects and initiatives required to accomplish 3-year plan
14. Leverage AI capabilities to improve the teams' data analysis capabilities
Ad Hoc Support
15. Contribute to the development of the team's analytics roadmap
16. Support X-Brand and Strategy team in cross-functional tasks
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
17. Master Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Economics, Management or any related field
18. Business experience preferred
19. Strong problem solving, detail-oriented quantitative and analytical abilities
20. Curious, self-motivated with a can-do attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
21. Critical thinker, capable of presenting complex data from multiple sources in engaging and action-driving formats.
22. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
23. Ability to own and manage multiple projects and meet deliverable deadlines; Strong time management skills
24. Advanced Excel and Power Point mandatory, Power BI/Query and Dataiku a plus
25. Fluent in English, French or other languages are a plus
