About the role
We’re looking for an Investment Analyst to join our growing investment team at Range. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting portfolio construction, manager and vehicle research, market analysis, and ongoing portfolio monitoring across a multi-asset-class platform.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is building both an institutional-quality investment portfolio and the operational infrastructure behind it from the ground up. You’ll work directly with senior investment leadership to translate macro views and strategic asset allocation decisions into thoughtful research, execution, and ongoing analysis that supports our members’ financial goals.
But we’re looking for more than just technical skill — we’re looking for someone who is deeply curious about markets, energized by data, and capable of quickly synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable insights. You will help distill market developments and portfolio implications for both our planning team and our members.
This role is based in our headquarters in McLean, VA, or one of our other locations in NYC or Bellevue. Employees hired for this position will work in-office Monday–Friday. If you are not currently located in the area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.
What you’ll do with us
Partner closely with the VP of Investments to support portfolio construction, asset allocation decisions, and top-down investment strategy implementation.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research across asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private investments.
Support implementation of investment strategies across client accounts, ensuring alignment with model portfolios and strategic targets.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Financial Planning, Operations, and Engineering to improve investment workflows and tools.
Lead the implementation of Range’s investment strategies efficiently across various investment vehicles
Rapidly digest important market news and assist with market-content generation
What will set you apart
CFP, CFA, Series 65 or Series 66 designation
5+ years experience in a similar role
Passion for the markets and strong investment acumen
Organizational and written communication skills
Experience using financial services technologies
An interest in the tech industry and/or experience with start-ups
Consumer fintech experience
