Nagra is realising a project of the century : the planning, construction, operation and closure of a deep geological repository for Switzerland’s radioactive waste. With a sense of the project’s historical significance, Nagra’s staff members have to plan far ahead – with a view to the generations to come.
To reinforce our Inventory and Logistics Section, we are looking for a
available immediately or as per an agreed date. Part-time is possible.
You can expect to join an innovative and efficient team that, in addition to its internal tasks, acts as liaison and interface for the waste producers and provides consulting and advisory services for projects such as the dismantling of nuclear power plants.
Your responsibilities include :
* Competently managing initial pilot procedures related to the “pre-acceptance of waste packages” and establishing this process at Nagra
* Acquiring an understanding of waste specifications and reviewing all existing information and data for completeness, consistency and plausibility, taking into account methodically correct quality assurance measures
* Collaborating constructively with all internal and external stakeholders (e.g. waste producers) and presenting your results tailored to the corresponding target group
* Critically examining planning deviations across Nagra’s different divisions in terms of the impacts on waste disposability
* Carefully and thoroughly documenting all the results and preparing Nagra’s opinions
What we expect of you :
* You have completed a university degree in the field of natural sciences or engineering and ideally have in-depth knowledge in the field of physics, chemistry or nuclear technology
* You work independently, conscientiously and in a structured manner
* You are a team player and are willing to communicate and collaborate on an interdisciplinary basis
* You are fluent in spoken and written German and English
