The opportunity
In this dynamic role, you will lead a new team within medium voltage surge arrester in Wettingen. You will drive digitalization and continuous improvement, helping us understand our needs, explore possibilities, and develop a digital strategy aligned with our goals and Hitachi Energy’s strategy.
Our Operating Unit has around 105 employees, and our process industry production benefits greatly from digitalization and continuous improvements. How you’ll make an impact
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organizational needs and identify digital opportunities.
2. Formulate a digitalization strategy covering local needs and aligning with global strategy.
3. Streamline internal digitalization efforts, eliminating fragmentation and fostering collaboration.
4. Inspire and support teams across the organization to embrace continuous improvement through digitalization.
5. Manage and execute hands-on digitalization projects to deliver results.
6. Build and develop a small but dynamic team (approximately 3-4 members) to drive innovation and success.
7. Coordinate collaboration with internal Hitachi partners and external suppliers in project execution.
8. Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
1. More than 5 years of experience in operations, with emphasis on manufacturing process management and quality assurance.
2. Expertise in systems integration and IT demand processes.
3. Strong understanding of production processes with a focus on integrating digital technologies for process improvement.
4. Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred) is advantageous.
5. In-depth knowledge of systems such as SAP, HVPLM, or digital process traceability (DPS - Hitachi's web-based system).
6. Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, advanced data analytics, and automation tools.
7. Knowledge of Automation Engineering, IoT solutions, and Cybersecurity.
8. Experience leading change projects to adopt digitalization successfully, demonstrating tangible benefits.
9. Proficiency in spoken and written English and German.
