Scientist Lab Technician Assay Development (m/f/d)
As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated Scientist Lab Technician Assay Development for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension.
The Assay Development team is responsible for the development of molecular diagnostic and screening tests based on PCR technology in the areas of infectious diseases, genomics, and oncology, from early feasibility to commercial launch.
Responsibilities
* Work with high throughput laboratory analyzers.
* Perform routine lab work with infectious samples and lead own experiments, including data analysis.
* Plan and execute different work packages for the development of molecular diagnostic tests.
* Participate in project meetings and present experimental data.
* Document experiments precisely using electronic lab journals in accordance with GMP standards.
* Handle and maintain laboratory equipment.
* Conduct statistical data analysis using tools such as JMP.
* Prepare official documents, e.g., Design History Files.
Must Haves
* Graduate as Biomedical Analyst Scientist (BMA HF) or apprenticeship as Lab Technician (Biology, Medical Diagnostics, Chemistry) or at least a Bachelor or Master degree in Life Sciences with practical laboratory experience (PhD graduates not required).
* Ideally 2+ years of laboratory experience with data analysis and biostatistics.
* Excellent documentation skills.
* Fluency in English, written and oral; German is a plus.
* Open-minded team player with a pro‑active mindset and organized working style.
* Flexible, strategic thinker and self‑dependent person.
Nice to Haves
* Experience in a biotechnical environment with infectious sample handling (Biosafety Level 2).
* Experience in a GMP/GLP environment.
