You will be part of the Avaloq Europe Platform Services team within the Private Bank Chief Operating Office (COO) and will regularly collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements and support development teams in implementation.
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing business applications hosted and operated by a third-party vendor. Your focus will be on understanding business needs, analyzing data and processes, and translating requirements into functional specifications.
You will also support the analysis and design of functional and technological solutions based on business, regulatory, and technical requirements, leveraging your knowledge of existing and future platforms. A deep understanding of the Avaloq core banking system (preferably including Deutsche Bank customizations and interfaces) is essential, enabling you to develop solutions that add value to our business.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the Avaloq Book of Work for PB Europe International, develop project plans for change requests, define objectives, create timelines, and assign tasks.
2. Gather, analyze, and document business and IT requirements for platform-related change requests; collaborate with Avaloq on implementation and testing.
3. Support the Avaloq One-Code initiative in partnership with Emerging Markets.
4. Provide support for functional issues or incidents raised by end-users.
5. Review functional and technical proposals from Avaloq and other application vendors.
6. Conduct hands-on testing and support for expert users.
7. Lead the resolution of client inquiries with timely and professional interactions with internal stakeholders.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory and control standards to mitigate risks and protect the bank.
Skills
1. Degree in Engineering, Computing, or Finance; a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Strong familiarity with Avaloq Core Platform; Avaloq certification is a plus.
3. Knowledge of banking products and business processes.
4. Experience in project management, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and incident management.
5. Excellent communication and client service skills with a client-oriented approach.
6. Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks effectively.
7. Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working autonomously and in virtual, global teams, with appreciation for cultural diversity.
8. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and HP ALM is advantageous.
