Overview
The Maintenance Manager at Trasfor SA leads reliability, safety, and optimal performance of facilities, production equipment, and infrastructure. Drives maintenance excellence, minimizes downtime, and contributes to operational efficiency in support of Hitachi’s quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring strong performance, skills growth, and effective scheduling.
* Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
* Oversee all repair, installation, and modification activities with full adherence to safety and quality standards.
* Optimize maintenance budgets, resources, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
* Implement and maintain an effective CMMS for work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
* Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve maintenance issues and support continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Support equipment and process (re)engineering as well as capital expenditure projects.
Your background
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or similar; Master’s degree is an asset.
* 7–10 years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technology environments.
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing technical teams.
* Strong expertise in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance methodologies.
* Proficient with CMMS and ERP systems; able to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and lean/continuous improvement methods.
* Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
