Ph3About the Role /h3 pThe Head of Operations is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of two manufacturing sites in Switzerland (Altendorf and Kaiseraugst), ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations that meet customer, financial, and quality objectives. /p pThis role oversees all operational areas including Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Assembly, Test/FAT, Quality, Logistics, Installation Commissioning, Health and Safety, and related support functions, driving operational consistency, cross‑site collaboration, and execution discipline across both plants while ensuring a balanced and visible on‑site presence at each location. /p pThe Head of Operations ensures that both facilities operate in full alignment with Coesia standards, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. /p pIn this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of the company. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 h3Operations Leadership /h3 ul liLead all day‑to‑day operations for two manufacturing sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution. /li liDeliver operational KPIs including productivity, OTD, lead time, cost, quality, and inventory performance. /li liEnsure strong coordination across Production, Assembly, FAT, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Aftermarket execution teams. /li /ul h3Manufacturing Performance Execution /h3 ul liDrive operational execution from internal order release through manufacturing, assembly, testing, delivery, installation, and commissioning. /li liEnsure production plans, capacity, and resource allocation support customer and business demand. /li liGuarantee adherence to production schedules, cost targets, and quality standards. /li /ul h3Supply Chain Planning Management /h3 ul liOversee Supply Chain, including Procurement, Planning, Material Management, and Warehouse operations. /li liEnsure supplier performance, material availability, and cost control to support efficient production flow. /li liOptimize inventory levels across both sites. /li /ul h3Quality Compliance and HSE /h3 ul liEnsure products comply within internal quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. /li liStrengthen quality systems, drive root‑cause investigations, and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Responsibility for existing ISO 9001 certification. /li liPromote a zero‑defect operational culture across all teams. /li liHSE responsibility for the two sites, including future specific ISO certifications coordination / responsibility. /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement Operational Excellence /h3 ul liLead Lean/Kaizen programs to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimise processes. /li liDrive systematic performance reviews, KPI dashboards, and accountability routines. /li liEmbed standard work, best practices, and Coesia Operations Excellence (COE) methodologies across both sites. /li /ul h3Resource, Capacity Performance Management /h3 ul liDrive workforce planning, capability development, and performance management across the operations organization. /li liEnsure teams are trained, empowered, and structured efficiently to support business growth. /li liOptimize equipment, factory layout, and resources to maximise throughput and efficiency. /li /ul h3Risk Management Issue Resolution /h3 ul liIdentify operational risks and implement proactive mitigation plans. /li liLead rapid response and escalation processes for critical delays, quality issues, or supply disruptions. /li liEnsure robust processes for schedule adherence and production stability. /li /ul h3Customer Focus Cross‑Functional Collaboration /h3 ul liPartner closely with Project Management, Sales, Service, and Finance to ensure seamless customer delivery. /li liSupport FAT, customer visits, and escalations, guaranteeing transparency and professional communication. /li liAlign site operations with Coesia Group standards, initiatives, and strategic direction. /li /ul h3Strategic Site Leadership /h3 ul liContribute to the long‑term strategy for the two sites, including footprint optimisation and future capabilities. /li liEnsure reporting and alignment with broader Coesia industrial strategy and operational transformation roadmap. /li /ul h3What You Need to Be Successful /h3 ul liProven experience as a senior operations leader (Head of Operations, Plant Manager or similar) in industrial, machinery or engineering‑to‑order environments. /li liDegree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. /li liFluent German (Swiss German strongly preferred) and English are essential. /li liExperience leading multi‑site manufacturing operations (preferred) or a large, complex single site. /li liStrong understanding of end‑to‑end operations, including supply chain, planning, production, assembly, testing, quality and customer delivery or installation. /li liBackground in food, packaging, conveying, product handling or process/packaging automation is a strong advantage. /li liExperience working in matrixed and international organisations, ideally within machinery or automation companies. /li liResults‑driven mindset with a clear focus on delivery performance, cost efficiency and quality. /li liStructured and analytical approach to problem solving, performance management and continuous improvement. /li liStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a hands‑on, pragmatic style and regular presence on the shopfloor. /li liAvailability and willingness to work regularly on site in both Altendorf and Kaiseraugst, and internationally as required. /li /ul h3Our Offer /h3 ul liA key leadership role in a company at an exciting stage of integration and development. /li liThe opportunity to shape operations across two established production sites with complementary capabilities. /li liA dynamic international industrial environment as part of the Coesia group. /li /ul pCoesia is an equal opportunity employer and embraces diversity and inclusion. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
