Sr. Category Manager - LogisticsDepartment: OperationsEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: EMEA-Switzerland-HQDescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with our Global Logistics department to lead sourcing activities on their behalf. You will be actively managing the sourcing of $250M+ dollars of logistics spend. You would develop category strategies and lead RFPs on ocean, air, FTL/LTL freight, small parcel, 3PL and any other Logistics needs.You will be part of a global team with peers based in Raleigh – NC, San Jose – CA, Wroclaw – PL, Juarez – MX, and Ziyang – CN. Internal business partners are geographically distributed to location beyond the above.This position is based fully onsite (5 days per week) at the Rotkreuz office.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop category strategies in alignment with the business partner priorities/requirements and company growth/geographic expansion objectivesUnderstand how market trends and supplier capabilities support your sourcing roadmap and project pipeline for each modeTake a proactive position to identify and mitigate risks within the category supportedAchieve stakeholders’ business requirements while effectively capturing value (e.g cost improvements, risk mitigation, cost avoidance, process improvements, supplier consolidation)Negotiate and manage carrier agreements and relationshipsLead regular business reviews with suppliers and Align managementSupport and drive Logistics Operations activities including supplier relationship management, operational performance, freight bill auditing, and business partner issuesWork jointly with Global and Regional Logistics teams on operational execution activitiesSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseBachelor's degree or equivalent experience6-10 years of relevant sourcing experienceAt least 2 years of experience managing a global logistics category including small parcel carriers, TL/LTL/ocean transportation services, 3PLs, warehousing services (preferably with specialization in small parcel)Experience with Logistics Operations & ExecutionStrong understanding of supply chain networks and optimizationSelf-starter, demonstrated ability to develop a new sourcing category from the ground upExcellent business partner engagement skills, attention to detail, and influencing will be key components of this roleAbility to navigate through a matrixed organization & collaborate in a cross regional/functional team
