Job OverviewAs a Department Manager Customer Projects GP, you will be at the core of our business, leading the execution of customer projects for our Grain and Pulses business unit. You will manage a team of approximately 12 employees, develop the department, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesEnsure seamless project execution and close cooperation with internal departments and stakeholders (Automation, Shipping, Technology, Commercial Management, Sales, Customer Service, R&D, Product Management).Support the Project Execution Team and Project Managers in controlling schedules and costs, forecasting risks and opportunities, developing corrective action plans, and escalating issues as appropriate.Collaborate with engineering groups, Business Areas and international PE locations to balance workload and provide training and development opportunities.Monitor project progress to ensure scope completeness, consistency, and technical integrity, and maintain effective risk, opportunity, and change control processes.Drive the development and implementation of project management lessons learned and best practices across locations; ensure complaints are recorded and sustainably resolved.Maintain regular contact with customers to develop solutions and support our global Sales and Service organizations during sales and quotation phases.Collaborate on the further development of engineering platforms and standards, and support and implement new structures and strategies.Actively participate in strategy development and implementation for the GP Business Unit, comprising Oats, Maize, and Pulses.QualificationsTechnical degree from a university of applied sciences (or equivalent) with further education in business administration and leadership.Leadership experience in matrix organisations.Experience in construction and plant engineering, ideally in the food processing or specialty milling sector.Proven skills in plant projects with EPCM character in an international environment, including contract and claim management.Strong planning, organisational and priority setting skills, and ability to manage intercultural teams.Business‑fluent in German and English with excellent communication skills at all levels (additional languages such as French, Spanish or Italian are beneficial).Open to international travel of approximately 10‑20%.BenefitsDaily fitness menu (7:30 – 12:30 pm) with 50 CHF per day.Comprehensive travel benefits – OSTWIND ZVV/Z‑Pass, public transport credit, and first‑class travel options.Preventive health care including laboratory analyses, massages, nutritional advice, physiotherapy, group courses and a company doctor.Special cell phone subscription conditions via Mobilezone, Sunrise and Swisscom.Sports activities – self‑organised circuit training and running groups, vouchers for Update and Activ Fitness.Family support – discounts for the Kita Chinderhus Rägeboge Uzwil.ContactQuestions?
